Training & development

Training & development

You’ll struggle to find a firm which doesn’t say all the right things about training and development.  We back up those words with a strong level of investment and a genuine practical commitment to making sure that all our team members continue to develop their skills and knowledge.

Team members undertaking professional qualifications, (such as AAT, ACCA, ACA, ATT, and CTA) enjoy a generous study package which includes the payment of all course and exam fees and paid study leave.

Ongoing training and development for all team members addresses both the latest technical changes and the crucial personal and professional skills required by a modern business adviser - such as effective communication, problem solving and managing people.

Training and development blends together external courses, internal sessions and on-the-job coaching and support.

This is what our recent Investors in People assessor had to say about our training and development activities:

  • There’s a good balance between meeting the client’s expectations and ensuring that everyone – existing and new staff and trainees – get a variety of interesting, challenging work and lots of appropriate development opportunities.
  • People value the quality and quantity of training and learning opportunities, the career opportunities, support for qualifications and on-the-job coaching from management and colleagues.
  • The training and development support for qualifications and the investment that the firm makes in its staff pays off.  Loyalty and low turnover are testament to this which in turn creates a team of capable, well motivated people.  Knowledge is shared and applied and people grow in confidence, skills and qualifications.

We see the people, not just the figures
