How to apply

Graduate training programme (ACA)

We've finished recruiting our 2012 graduate intake and look forward to welcoming four new team members to Sagars over the coming months. When we are ready to begin our 2013 graduate recruitment, we'll be looking for candidates who want to join our team on a training contract in summer 2013 to qualify as an accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  We'll realease more details later in the year but, as a general guide, we look for candidates with a minimum of 320 UCAS points and a 2:1 degree classification in any discipline. Keep checking back here to find out when our recruitment process starts again.

School leaver training programme (AAT)

We'll update this section when we are ready to accept applications for our next A-level student recruitment programme. We usually aim to recruit A-level school leavers who are predicted to obtain 320 UCAS points but would prefer to work and study rather than go to university.  Candidates are expected to demonstrate some experience of the working world together with a strong commitment to a career in accountancy and/or tax.  If you meet this criteria and think that you would fit into our team, keep checking back here to find out what you need to do to apply.

Undergraduate summer placement

If you're wondering whether a career in accountancy is for you, doing a summer placement is a great idea.  We'll pay you for your time, it'll look great on your CV and you'll get a real insight into what being an accountant is all about.  Perhaps even better than all of that, we recruit new graduates every year so impress us on your placement and this could be a foot in the door for your long term career with us.

The closing date for applications for our 2012 undergraduate summer placement has passed and we look forward to working with two undergraduate students this summer. To be in with a chance of making this your placement for 2013, keep checking back here to find out when you need to apply and what sort of people we're looking for.

Experienced / qualified team members

We're not currently recruiting for any specific vacancies but we're always happy to hear from high quality individuals who would really fit in with the Sagars team.  If you think this might be you, please complete our word application form and email it back to us or print out our pdf version and send it to our managing partner, Chris Jones.

We see the people, not just the figures
