Colin thrives on solving tricky tax problems and getting to grips with new legislation so he was the first to volunteer when we needed someone to work through the night to digest the intricacies of the Chancellor’s Budget, enabling us to brief our clients on the important bits the following day.

A personal tax and Trusts specialist, Colin has an in-depth knowledge of Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax. As a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, it’s no great surprise that he also advises on asset protection, trust management and the important role trusts can play in personal tax planning. Colin is also experienced in providing advice on various offshore matters such as; working or living abroad, residence and domicile and providing a wide variety of effective planning for clients with non-resident companies and trusts.

Colin qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Birmingham before spending many years with a national firm where he gained Chartered Tax Adviser status.  He lives in Sheffield with his wife and has three grown up children, he is a keen fisherman and, rather worryingly, a Sheffield United fan.
