Responsible business

At Sagars, we have a passion and commitment to contribute to our wider community and to be responsible in the way we impact on our environment.  However, it’s not like us to pretend to be something we’re not, so we’ll be the first to admit that we’ve got more to do in transforming that passion and commitment into even more practical actions on the ground.

Many of our team members (both individually and as firm sponsored teams) put in great sponsored efforts for worthwhile charitable causes.  Some of the more gruelling and unusual activities have recently included a Coast to Coast run and a walk from London to New York (with a flight in the middle!).  We also provide services at discounted rates to a number of charitable organisations.  In the coming years, we hope that our wider community contribution will become even more significant.

Closer to home, our flexible working environment supports team members in allowing them to contribute more fully to family life and their local communities.

On the environmental front, we’ve improved our recycling capabilities and our conversion to a ‘less-paper’ office and policy of sourcing the paper we do use principally from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accredited suppliers has significantly reduced our impact on the world’s trees.  Our city centre location enables maximum use of public transport and remote working capabilities help to reduce unnecessary journeys.  An important factor in choosing our new offices will be an improved ability to reduce our carbon footprint.

We see the people, not just the figures
